Christ has Overcome

John 16:33 (ESV): 

33I have said these things to you, that in me you may have  peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I  have overcome the world.

3. Take Courage for Christ has Conquered.

1I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling  away. 

Isaiah 26:3: 

3You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you,  because he trusts in you.

Isaiah 9:6-7a: 

6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the  government shall be upon his shoulder, and his  

name shall be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Ever lasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his govern ment and of peace there will be no end…  

2. The Teacher Tells of Tribulation 

John 15:18-20: 

18f the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hat ed you. 19If you were of the world, the world would love you as  its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you  out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20Remember  the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his  master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If  they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 

2 Timothy 3:12: 

12Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be  persecuted.

3. Take Courage for Christ has Conquered. 

John 1:5: 

5In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light  shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

21”There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.” 

1 Corinthians 15:57:
